The Choice

Would you rather pose for porn or be groped by a total stranger?

If you're anything like us, the answer is "Uh, neither, thanks." But that's exactly the choice the TSA is giving under new airport security procedures. To fly in 2010, many American airports give you the choice of going through a whole-body scanner, which shows a security agent exactly what you look like under your clothes, or being subjected to an excruciatingly thorough pat-down — including your genitals and breasts.

This is an issue that cuts across partisan lines. Everyone can agree that whole-body imaging devices, and especially the new choice the TSA is giving us, are a gross violation of our civil liberties.

It shouldn't be like this. It doesn't have to be like this. It's time to speak out.
